With the guidance of our own Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Coordinator, Army Cadets at our unit can meet the majority of the required qualifications for this exceptional award, as they attend and actively participate in activities offered by the Canadian Army Cadet program.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award will provide cadets the opportunity to set goals and achieve results in both a fun and challenging way. It combines the ability to pursue current interests, as well as explore new activities.
The Award consists of three levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold. Each level is more demanding and all requiring cadets to meet specific requirements, in the following categories: Community Service, an Adventure Journey, Physical Fitness, as well as a Residential Project.
The Corps’ Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Coordinator is Civilian Volunteer, Mrs. Kim Sibley.
