While the Oakville Army Cadets are partially funded by the Department of National Defence, we also rely heavily on community support from businesses and individuals, to provide a well-rounded program.
Cadets participate by holding “Tagging” weekends usually twice a year. This is when you will see Army Cadets located at local Oakville retail stores, accepting cash donations, and handing out “tags” for the public to wear to show support for the Army Cadets.
We welcome corporate and personal donations, for which tax receipts over $25 will be provided through the Army Cadet League of Canada (a fully registered charity).
Some of our sponsors prefer to donate for a specific activities e.g. educational trips, and others like to provide donations for goods needed, e.g. sports and outdoor adventure equipment, climbing gear, etc.
You can also direct your United Way donations to the Oakville Army Cadets – ask us for details.
